Saudi Orthopaedic Association

With an aim of helping patients maintain and restore their health Saudi Arabian Orthopaedic Association was established under the functioning of college of Medicine at King Saud University on 23/4/1426 (31/5/2005) according to the Statute of the Council of Education and Universities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The concept of SOA (Saudi Arabian Orthopaedic Association) was to give an experimental situation and outlet for the presentation and publication of new ideas for those who provide an opportunity for workers in the field of orthopaedic surgery to meet and exchange ideas regarding research, clinical problems, proposals for future progress in orthopaedics and provide consultative support and collaboration with similar societies and members world-wide.  

The first idea of the SOA was to give an exploratory situation and outlet for the presentation and distribution of new thoughts; to give a chance to laborers in the field of orthopaedic surgery to meet and trade thoughts in regards to inquire about, clinical issues, proposition for future advancement in orthopaedics and give consultative backing and coordinated effort with comparable social orders and individuals around the world. A transitory building up board of trustees was framed of five individuals inside the branch of orthopaedics at Medicine college of King Saud University. Dr Hazem Mohammed Alkhawshki the director of Orthopaedic lead this advisory group to get ready for the main general get together meeting and race of the nine board individuals. The Other four individuals were Dr Saleh WaslAllah Alharbi, Dr Marwan Mohammed Zamzami, Dr Salem Mohammed Alzahrani and Dr Mamoun Khalid Kremly.
