Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland

The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) is the statutory body in charge of directing of drug specialists and group drug stores in Ireland. It is additionally in charge of directing the preparation of new drug specialists. Enrolment with PSI is key keeping in mind the end goal to rehearse as a drug specialist or work a drug store in Ireland. The Education Unit of the PSI manages the undergrad instruction and pre-enlistment preparing of drug store understudies in the Irish schools of drug store at University College Cork, Trinity College, Dublin and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland to set them up for enrolment as drug specialists. The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland distributes the Irish Pharmacy Journal (IPJ), the official diary of the Society. Up to April 2007 the PSI's representing Council was chosen by individuals from the general public. The Pharmacy Act 2007 improved the general public so that now 9 individuals from the chamber are chosen by individuals from the general public and the parity are delegated by the Minister for Health and Children to speak to different areas of people in general and wellbeing community.
