P-38 National Association & Museum

The P 38 Museum is fittingly housed in an airplane shelter, adjoining March Air Reserve Base in Southern California. The P 38 National Association was established in May of 1987, one of it is proudest achievements were building the Museum, which is supported on commitments of memorabilia and donation from general society and Association Members. Development on the Museum started in the late 80's and was executing with perfection by P 38 pilot and earlier Association President, Dick Willsie. There is much space for each showcase of the Fighter Squadrons, Fighter Groups and WASPs, from everyone who have assembled and outfitted their presentations inside the Museum. Every presentation houses noteworthy, inestimable photos, collectibles and memorabilia from WWII doing with their particular outfits. There are real curios of assorted types. The whole history of the P 38 Lightning is found in this one office. The dividers are fixed with incalculable photographs of this wonderful flying machine and the men and women who assembled, kept up and flew it. The P 38 National Association is a non-benefit association whose aim is to gather information and memorabilia to save and propagate the memory of this exemplary WWII aircraft, the P 38 "Lockheed Lightning," for future eras.
