National Association for Sport and Physical Education

NASPE is a national association of physical education and a recognized leader in sport and physical activity. It was established in 1981 as a sister associations of American Health alliance. It is the largest of the five national sister associations of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). The mission of the association is to enhance improve professional practice, knowledge, and increase the support for high quality sports, physical education, and physical activity programs through the development of standards, dissemination of information, and research. It contains 17,000 members include coaches, K-12 physical education teachers, athletic trainers, athletic directors, researchers, sport management professionals, and college or university faculty those who prepare physical activity professionals.
