Latvian Society of Phlebology

Latvian Society of Phlebology is a national organization which is totally dedicated and involved in the research and development of Phlebology, improvement of its diagnostics, prevention and treatment of Phlebology diseases. The society support and funds for the professionals involve in Phlebology R&D.  The society was founded in February 25, 2000 in Latvia. The core members of this society at that time involved some prominent Family Doctors, Cardiologists, Hematologists, Vascular Surgeons, Dermatologists, and Specialists of Public Health sector.  The society is independent professional organization which closely operates and runs with other private and government medical organization and is supported by Physician Association of Latvia. The main of the society is to provide a platform for continuing medical education (CME Credits), discussion and presentation of the state of the art of Phlebology treatment to those professionals whose aim is the diagnosis and therapy of vascular diseases. In the year 200 this society has around 100 physicians as its members. The task and activities of this society is to stimulate physician’s professional growth and interest in the field of Phlebology.
