Hungarian Orthopaedic Association

Hungarian Orthopedic Association is a non-profit organization with the desire of supporting, facilitating and enhancing the activity of orthopedic surgeons working in Hungary. It has nearly 300 active members. The Association has an including web portal providing daily updates on orthopedic practice, meetings, education, instructional courses, lectures, conferences and also workshops. Our orthopedic news is published on a regular basis. E-learning modules and online education materials are also available.

HOA organizes a yearly conference with international participation, and also a trainees’ meeting at which young forum and researchers can present their work. Every spring season HOA organizes a ‘Prosthetic Round Table’ on advances in endoprosthetic devices. EFORT regularly presents its instructional course lectures at one of the country’s most prestigious orthopedic departments. The HOA portal hosts the Hungarian National Arthroplasty Register, which is part of EFORT’s European Arthroplasty Register (EAR). HOA has established the Dollinger Club for all members who have received the Dollinger pro merits award.
