German Society for Cell Biology or Deutschen Gesellschaft für Zellbiologie is a company where members are mainly zoologists, microbiologists, biophysicists, geneticists, immunologists, botanists, biochemists, physicians, molecular biologists, microbiologists and biological research people. It was founded in the year 1975. Merchandising of cell organic studies and the establishment of cellular biology is the aim of the society. The German national Committee’s one of the member is DGZ. The award which might be given via this organization are- Carl Zeiss Lecture, Werner-Risau Prize, Walther Flemming Medal, Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter fee and Binder Innovation Award.
