The Geological Society of Japan (JGS) was established in 1893 and has contributed to advancement of science through promoting studies and diffusion of information in the field of geosciences. Activities of the JGS include the organization of meetings and excursions, scientific and educational publications, and the presentation of prizes. Geological Society of Japan is aiming to the development and spreading of geology, was established more than 100 years ago from now. They have 4000 members, including people who geology are studying love affiliation, and comprehensively in this area, is one of the largest societies in Japan of Earth sciences related academic societies.
