European Society of Skin Cancer Prevention [EUROSKIN] is an independent and non-profit making scientific society. The principal aim of society is to reduce the incidence and mortality of skin cancer. It sets out to achieve this by the promotion and co-ordination of collaborative actions between European professionals active in the fields of primary and/or secondary prevention. These include dermatologists, epidemiologists, biologists, physicists and other professionals with an interest in these aims. The main aims of European Society of Skin Cancer Prevention are promotion of scientific studies relevant to primary prevention and harmonization of information programmes throughout Europe. It also aims at promotion and development of solar UVR monitoring programmes and development, promotion and evaluation of effective information. It facilitates promotion, development and evaluation of effective strategies for secondary prevention of skin cancer and promoting population based skin cancer , harmonization of classification and other activities, essential to the evaluation of secondary prevention and harmonized approach to the application of guidelines. Its purpose is - to reduce skin cancer incidence and mortality and to promote and coordinate collaboration between European professionals who are active in the fields of primary secondary prevention of skin cancer including for example dermatologists, other health professionals, epidemiologist and scientists. European Society of Skin Cancer Prevention organizes a scientific conference on a regularly, but not more than every two years, known as EUROSKIN-Conference and also many seminars and study days. European Society of Skin Cancer Prevention collaborates closely with a number of national, European and global expert bodies and organization sharing common aims. Various agencies around the World report on solar UV radiation levels to the European Society of Skin Cancer Prevention. European Society of Skin Cancer Prevention conducts workshop where international experts from basic sciences, epidemiology and dermatology will share scientific updates and discuss how to integrate new results in skin cancer prevention.
