The Colombian Association of Infectious Diseases was founded in 1987. ACIN is a scientific association that brings together professionals involved in the prevention, management, control, education and research of infectious diseases. ACIN contributes to health institutions, government and education, the creation and implementation of national and regional policies in the management of infectious diseases. In recent years the ACIN has expanded its range to meet the objectives of their mission and hence the interest in guiding much of its efforts on the creation of study committees, holding events, dissemination, use of knowledge and technologies, in order to adapt to health professionals to new times moving towards reforms to partner and create effective networks of innovation that will bring together all knowledge. The ACIN is a group recognized by the various associations of specialists in the area of ââ¬â¹Ã¢â¬â¹health in the country, and governing bodies as ASCOFAME, ICFES, INVIMA, Ministry of Health, PAHO-WHO, etc.
