Association Dentaire Franaise

The ADF is an association that provides multiple services, including publications, professional education programmes, product certification and a bibliographic database. Through this association, French dental profession is represented on an international level. Every year, an annual dental meeting is organized, which comprises of a Conference and an International Exhibition. The ADF was established in 1970, with 800 representatives and now it comprises of 26 national associations. Out of total population of dentists, practising in France, nearly 30,000 are active members of the ADF. The key force that gives a comprehensive grasp of all the developments to the French Dental Association is their unique representative quality. This quality helps in the advancement of the dental profession. The main objectives of ADF association are: Defending the interests of the dental profession, Awareness of General public regarding the dental profession, Representation of the dental profession to the international and French public authorities and Promotion of scientific progress in the field of dentistry. The ADF works by focusing on the following arenas: Encouraging scientific progress, upgrading the quality standards of products, Improvement in the dentist-patient relationship and service, Introducing new prevention methods and Finding better ways of fullfilling the expectations of patients.

Major Associations working with the ADF: The ADF promotes the dental profession and scientific programme not only in France but globally. The ADF represents France to the following international giant organizations:  FDI (World Dental Federation) and ERO-FDI (European Regional Organisation of the FDI), WHO (World Health Organisation), AFNOR (French national organisation for standardisation) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization). Upcoming Events by the ADF: The ADF organized its first dental annual meeting in 1972. The most recently past event ‘FDI World Dental Annual Congress 2016’was held during 7-10 September 2016 in Poznan, Poland and prior to this an another event ‘Journées dentaires internationales du Québec’ was held during 27-31 May 2016 in Montreal, Canada. The upcoming event ‘otre santé, notre priorité (Your Health, Our priority)’ is going to be held during 22-26 November 2016 in Paris – France.
