American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) is a private group with personal membership under the American Hospital Association that is a trusted industry resource providing education, networking, advocacy representation, regulatory guidance and professional development for the members of the society. The society now has a membership number of about 12,000 and with that ASHE has become the largest association among the ones who are devoted for designing ,building,maintaining and operating hospitals and health are facilities. ASHE provides the services regarding health care with facility managers, engineers, architects, designers, constructors, infection control specialists, and others. Though the society has a large group of members, still the ASHE members puts their full dedication towards optimizing health care facilities and developing and maintaining safe healing environments. ASHE is fully committed to its members, the facilities they build and maintain, and the patients they serve as they feel that the health of their members are their responsibility. They say their mission is dedicated to optimize the health care physical environment. They desire to engage their stakeholders to build the optimum healing health care environment. The group members includes professionals who design, build, and operate hospitals and other health care facilities. Their advocacy team works to analyse and amalgamate the overlapping codes and standards which regulates the health care physical environment. The also engage in revamping codes thereby reducing code conflicts further allowing health care facilities to standardize their physical environment and let a better focus of their valuable resources on patient care. The team also advocates for ASHE members through professional development and credentialing opportunities, and provides up-to-date tools and resources to help keep health care facilities in compliance.The Society is organized specifically for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes being an internal part of the American Hospital Association .The society is constructed to conduct in such a manner that no part of the Society's income and earnings shall go to the benefit of any member, Director, Officer, or other individual. Upon dissolution, any Society assets remaining after payment of just debts shall belong to the Association or its successor.
