The occupational physical therapy tends to be more highlighting on evaluation and diagnosing of movement dysfunctions as well as treating a person’s injury itself. While an occupational therapist will often also do diagnosis, the physical therapist will be more likely to diagnose and treat the physical source of the problem; the injured tissues and structures.

The practice of occupational physical therapy utilizes the therapeutic use of purposefulness and meaningful occupations in treatment, as well as focussing on these occupations as a goal of treatment.It includes restoration of performance abilities,adaptation of tasks,diability prevention techniques etc.
