Obesity in Pregnancy

Obesity in pregnant women is abundantly seen in United States. Pregnant women who have undergone bariatric surgery might have nutritional deficiencies. They are needed to get an exercise program as well as external vitamin supplementation if recommended. Obesity during pregnancy may sometimes lead to several complications that may include hypertension, gestational diabetes, premature delivery, birth injury to infant, etc.
