Abstract

B-cells, traditionally recognized for their role in antibody-mediated immunity, have emerged as versatile players in immunology, extending their repertoire beyond antibody production to include cytokine secretion. This abstract explores the intriguing role of B-cells as orchestrators of cytokine production, shedding light on their diverse functions in immune regulation and disease pathogenesis. B-cells exhibit a remarkable capacity to produce a wide array of cytokines, spanning both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory spectra, thereby exerting profound effects on immune responses. This newfound capability has expanded our understanding of B-cell biology and its implications for therapeutic interventions in autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and cancer.
