Abstract

Targeted therapies have transformed the treatment landscape for various diseases, particularly cancer and chronic conditions, by focusing on specific molecular targets associated with disease pathology. This paper, “Evaluating the Impact of Targeted Therapies on Patient Outcomes and Quality of Life,” examines how these innovative treatments influence patient outcomes and overall quality of life. Targeted therapies, which include small molecule inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies, and other biologics, offer the potential for enhanced treatment efficacy and reduced toxicity compared to traditional therapies. By selectively targeting disease-specific molecular pathways, these therapies can lead to improved clinical outcomes, such as increased survival rates and better disease control. However, the impact of targeted therapies on patient quality of life is a crucial aspect that needs comprehensive evaluation. This paper reviews recent studies and clinical trials that assess the effects of targeted therapies on both clinical outcomes and patientreported outcomes.
