Aeysha Sultan

Biography

Dr Aeysha Sultan completed her PhD from University of Sargodha, Sargodha-40100, Pakistan during the period of 2009-2013. Currently, she is working as Lecturer Organic Chemistry in University of Sargodha, Sub-Campus Bhakkar, Bhakkar- Pakistan. Her Current job responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching and administrative tasks related to Departmental Affairs and Purchasing scientific Equipments and chemicals. Dr Sultan is basically a synthetic organic chemist and has a diverse experience of synthesis of natural products and heterocyclic compounds. She has special interest in free radical and metal catalyzed cascade reactions. Her expertise include devising synthetic strategies, interpretation of UV, IR, NMR (both 1D & 2D), Mass spectrometry. In spite of her background in synthetic organic chemistry, Dr Sultan has keen interest in inorganic, bio-inorganic & Analytical chemistry Based on her research and fellowship training, she has received several awards and honors, such as: o Indigenous fellowship Award for PhD studies by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. o International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) fellowship by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan. o Awarded Second Prize on presenting Novel idea in Emerging Ideas Conference organized by National Association of Young Scientists (NAYS) Pakistan. Dr Sultan is serving as an editorial member of reputed journals like: • Natural product Research (NPR) • Current Organic synthesis (COS) She has authored 09 research articles and has co-authored a chapter in Urban Water Reuse Handbook (UWRH), volume 1 (fundamentals and impacts), /books. Details of memberships held by Dr Sultan include: • Life-time membership of CCCCS Pakistan. • Affiliate Membership of International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. • Life-time Membership of National Association of Young Scientists (NAYS-Pakistan) • Membership of Islamic Association of Young Scientists (IAYS)
