Abstract

Accurate diagnosis of adamantinoma, a rare primary bone tumor, can be challenging due to its resemblance to other bone lesions. Advanced imaging techniques play a crucial role in discriminating adamantinoma from its mimicking lesions, thereby facilitating appropriate management. Computed tomography (CT) provides detailed anatomical information, while magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) offers superior soft tissue contrast. Positron emission tomographycomputed tomography (PET-CT) aids in assessing metabolic activity, and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) measures bone mineral density. This review explores the utility of these advanced imaging modalities in distinguishing adamantinoma from its mimics, highlighting their respective strengths and limitations
