Visual impairment, often referred to as vision loss or low vision, is a condition that significantly affects an individual's ability to see clearly. It encompasses a wide range of visual disabilities, from partial sight to total blindness. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 2.2 billion people worldwide have some form of vision impairment, with 1 billion of them experiencing a condition that could have been prevented or has yet to be addressed adequately.
