Aquatic ecosystems, encompassing oceans, freshwater habitats, and coral reefs, are vital for sustaining life on our planet. These diverse environments support rich biodiversity and provide essential ecosystem services. However, they face numerous threats such as pollution, habitat destruction, climate change, and overexploitation. Conservation efforts, including marine protected areas, sustainable fishing practices, and restoration initiatives, aim to protect and sustain these delicate habitats. Public engagement through citizen science and education plays a crucial role in understanding and safeguarding aquatic ecosystems.
