Abstract

Animal health is a fundamental aspect of animal welfare, agricultural productivity, and public health. This research article provides an overview of the current understanding of animal health, highlighting its importance in various contexts including companion animals, livestock, and wildlife. We explore the multifaceted nature of animal health, encompassing physical, mental, and social well-being, and discuss the interconnectedness between animal health and human health. Furthermore, we examine the challenges and opportunities in promoting and maintaining animal health, emphasizing the role of preventive medicine, nutrition, disease management, and behavioral interventions. Finally, we outline future directions for research and policy to enhance animal health outcomes and ensure the well-being of animals and humans alike.
