Abstract
Public health nursing is a cornerstone of community health, bridging gaps between clinical care and population health to ensure communities thrive. These dedicated professionals work on the front lines to address and prevent health issues, often working within local health departments, schools, and community organizations. Their role is multifaceted and crucial, particularly in today’s complex healthcare environment.Public health nursing is a specialized f ield focused on promoting and protecting the health of populations. Unlike traditional nursing, which typically involves u i c H e h N u s direct patient care in a clinical setting, public health nurses (PHNs) concentrate on improving community health outcomes through preventive measures, health education, and policy advocacy. They work with individuals, families, and communities to assess health needs, implement interventions, and evaluate their effectiveness.
