Abstract
Obesity has become a growing public health concern, particularly among school-aged children, where the consequences of poor dietary habits are evident. As obesity continues to rise globally, preventive measures focusing on healthy lifestyle changes, especially nutrition education, are critical to mitigating this issue. This research article investigates the role of nutrition education in preventing obesity in school-aged children. It reviews existing studies and intervention programs that have incorporated nutrition education in school settings, evaluating the impact of such initiatives on children’s dietary habits, weight management, and overall health. The findings suggest that wellstructured nutrition education programs, when implemented effectively in schools, can contribute significantly to the prevention of obesity by empowering children with the knowledge and skills to make healthier food choices.
