Abstract

This article emphasizes the importance of vascular risk assessment in older adults without a history of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Despite the absence of noticeable symptoms, this demographic is susceptible to silent risk factors that can lead to severe cardiovascular complications. The article explores common risk factors, such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, smoking, physical inactivity, and obesity, and highlights the significance of early detection through comprehensive vascular risk assessment. By addressing these factors proactively, healthcare providers can tailor preventive strategies, reduce the burden of CVD, and contribute to the overall wellbeing of older adults.
