Abstract

Uterine artery Doppler studies detect the pathological increase in the placental vascular resistance. In highrisk patients, abnormal studies of Uterine artery Doppler can identify the adverse outcomes during pregnancy. Well timed interventions in these patients may improve the maternal and the neonatal outcome. Uterine artery Doppler in combination with maternal characteristics for the screening of low-risk patients is useful to predict the hypertensive disorders.
