Abstract
Precipitation plays a crucial role in shaping ecosystems and influencing biodiversity patterns across the globe. Biodiversity hotspots, regions with a high concentration of endemic species, are particularly sensitive to changes in precipitation, as they rely on specific climate conditions to sustain unique ecosystems. Remote sensing technologies have proven invaluable in monitoring precipitation patterns and their impacts on ecosystems. This article explores the use of advanced remote sensing tools, including satellite-based observations, to study precipitation variability and its influence on biodiversity hotspots. By examining how changes in precipitation influence habitat stability, species distribution, and ecosystem resilience, this study highlights the potential of remote sensing for biodiversity conservation.
