Abstract
Mental disorders affect millions of individuals worldwide, leading to significant social, economic, and health burdens. Over the years, pharmacological treatment has played a vital role in managing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. This article explores the use of medications in treating mental disorders, focusing on the most commonly prescribed drug classes, their mechanisms of action, and the outcomes observed in clinical trials. By analyzing existing research, the article sheds light on the efficacy, side effects, and challenges associated with psychotropic medications.
