Pediatric surgery stands at the forefront of addressing the distinctive healthcare needs of children and adolescents, encompassing a spectrum of procedures essential for their well-being. This review article explores the pivotal role of pediatric surgery, shedding light on its significance, the diverse array of procedures involved, and the transformative advancements that have shaped the field. Notable progress in minimally invasive techniques, fetal surgery, and the integration of 3D printing has significantly enhanced patient outcomes. However, the unique challenges associated with pediatric surgery, including anesthesia administration and the emotional impact on young patients, demand thoughtful consideration.
