Received Date: Jul 02, 2024 / Published Date: Jul 30, 2024
Abstract
Nuclear cardiology plays a pivotal role in the diagnosis, risk stratification, and management of coronary artery disease (CAD). Techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) provide detailed insights into myocardial perfusion and function, aiding in the identification of ischemia and assessment of myocardial viability. This article explores the applications of nuclear cardiology in CAD management, highlighting advancements in imaging technologies, the clinical utility of novel radiotracers, and the integration of hybrid imaging systems.
