Abstract
Non-invasive cardiac imaging has revolutionized pediatric cardiology, providing crucial insights into congenital and acquired heart diseases without resorting to invasive procedures. These advanced imaging modalities enable detailed visualization of the heart's structure and function, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy and patient safety. Recent advancements in imaging technology, such as echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and computed tomography (CT), have further enhanced these benefits. Echocardiography, with its new threedimensional and strain imaging capabilities, offers comprehensive and dynamic heart assessments. Innovations in MRI, including faster sequences and real-time imaging, provide superior tissue characterization without radiation exposure. Meanwhile, CT advancements have reduced radiation doses while delivering high-resolution images, making it a valuable tool for complex anatomical evaluations. This article explores these cutting-edge technologies, their clinical applications, and the benefits they offer in diagnosing and managing pediatric heart conditions. Additionally, it discusses the future directions and potential developments in non-invasive cardiac imaging for children.
