Abstract

Musculoskeletal surgery is a specialized medical field dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating disorders and injuries affecting the musculoskeletal system. This intricate system, consisting of bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissues, is crucial for movement and structural support. The scope of musculoskeletal surgery encompasses orthopedic procedures, sports medicine interventions, and hand and upper extremity surgeries. Advancements in surgical techniques and technology, such as minimally invasive procedures, 3D printing, robotic-assisted surgery, and biologics, have significantly improved patient outcomes. Challenges remain, including surgical risks and varying patient responses.
