Abstract

Venereal diseases (VDs), also known as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), pose a significant risk to both individual and public health, directly affecting reproductive health outcomes. These infections, if left untreated, can lead to a wide range of complications, including infertility, ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, and an increased susceptibility to other infections such as HIV. The connection between VDs and reproductive health is profound and multifaceted, requiring an integrated approach to prevention, early detection, and treatment to ensure the health of affected individuals, especially women. This article explores the relationship between venereal diseases and reproductive health, highlighting the mechanisms through which STIs impact fertility, pregnancy outcomes, and overall reproductive well-being.
