Abstract

This research article conducts a thorough examination of the evolution and contemporary challenges in family law, offering a comprehensive analysis of this dynamic field. Tracing the historical trajectory from ancient legal systems to modern societies, the study explores the foundational legal principles that govern familial relationships. Landmark cases are scrutinized for their impact on legal precedent, emphasizing their role in shaping the current landscape of family law. The article also investigates emerging issues challenging traditional frameworks, such as surrogacy, reproductive technologies, and non-traditional family structures. Gender equality within family law is explored, addressing evolving concepts of spousal support, division of responsibilities, and the persistent influence of gender stereotypes on legal decision-making.
