Abstract
This study evaluates the scientific and technological contributions to the marine fishing sector in China’s coastal areas. China boasts one of the largest fishing industries globally, with its coastal regions serving as vital hubs for marine resource exploitation. Scientific and technological advancements play a crucial role in enhancing productivity, sustainability, and efficiency within this sector. Through a comprehensive analysis of available literature, statistical data, and case studies, this research examines the impact of scientific research, technological innovations, and government policies on the development of China’s coastal fishing industry. Key areas of focus include advancements in fishing technology, aquaculture practices, resource management strategies, and the adoption of sustainable fishing practices. Furthermore, this study investigates the role of government initiatives and industry collaborations in promoting technological innovation and improving the overall competitiveness of China’s marine fishing sector.
