Abstract

Epidemiology and community health play pivotal roles in understanding, managing, and mitigating the impact of epidemic and infectious diseases on populations. This article provides an overview of the interdisciplinary field, highlighting its wide scope encompassing the occurrence, spread, recurrence, and prevention of such diseases within specific communities. Community health, a subset of public health, emphasizes the study and enhancement of health characteristics within geographical areas, contributing to the collective well-being of populations.
