Gynecological oncology is a specialized field of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cancers that affect the female reproductive system. This includes cancers of the ovaries, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva. Given the complexity of these organs and their vital role in reproduction and overall health, gynecological oncologists undergo extensive training to provide comprehensive care to women with gynecological cancers. The field encompasses various aspects of oncology, gynecology, and surgery, requiring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
