Diagnostic Imaging Modalities for Cardiovascular Assessment
Received Date: May 01, 2024 / Published Date: May 30, 2024
Abstract
Cardiovascular assessment often necessitates a variety of diagnostic imaging modalities to comprehensively evaluate cardiac structure, function, and vascular integrity. This abstract outlines the essential techniques employed in clinical practice, including chest X-ray for initial cardiac silhouette evaluation, ankle-brachial index measurement for peripheral vascular assessment, and echocardiography for detailed examination of cardiac size and function. Additionally, computed tomography and angiography play pivotal roles in delineating vascular anatomy and identifying pathological conditions. Understanding the indications and capabilities of these imaging tools is crucial for accurate diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases.
