Abstract
Acute hyperglycemic syndromes are among common emergency department presentations in diabetic patients. In the developing
world, still there are challenges in the diagnosis, management and monitoring of these cases hence high morbidity and mortality.
A 1 month case series is presented here, from Pwani region Tanzania, to demonstrate the encountered challenges.
