Abstract

Tuberculosis is the second leading cause of death among all infectious diseases worldwide. Over a third of the world population is latently infected and 2 million people die yearly from this deadly infectious disease affecting primarily the lungs.Pulmonary TB is the most common form of the disease. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of tuberculosis in Baghdad Province. The study was carried out in the Specialized Chest and Respiratory Diseases Center/ Baghdad.
