Abstract

A meta-analysis of available randomized trials demonstrated that off-pump CABG is associated with lower mortality rates and lower risk of cerebrovascular accident (CVA). However, this apparent clinical superiority compared to CPB in CABG surgery still needs to be demonstrated in particular clinical contexts.
