Abstract

Cardiac imaging with nuclear medicine has become a cornerstone in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs). This article provides a comprehensive guide to the various nuclear imaging techniques, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), and their clinical applications. It discusses the principles behind these modalities, their advantages and limitations, and the latest advancements in the field. The article also explores the role of hybrid imaging systems and new radiotracers in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
