Abstract
In the face of escalating threats to global biodiversity, captive breeding programs have emerged as a critical tool for conserving endangered species and preventing their extinction. These programs, which involve the controlled breeding and management of animals in captivity, play a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable populations, restoring depleted populations, and reintroducing species into their native habitats. In this article, we explore the importance, challenges, and successes of captive breeding programs in conservation efforts worldwide. Captive breeding programs play a vital role in the conservation of endangered species, offering a lifeline to populations at risk of extinction due to habitat loss, poaching, and environmental changes.
