Abstract

Cancer is a significant global health challenge, affecting millions of individuals worldwide and representing a substantial burden on healthcare systems. Cancer epidemiology plays a crucial role in understanding the distribution, determinants, and prevention of cancer, thereby guiding public health interventions. This research article provides an overview of cancer epidemiology, focusing on recent trends, identified risk factors, and their implications for public health. By analyzing the available data, this article aims to shed light on the current state of cancer incidence, mortality, and associated factors, enabling policymakers, researchers, and healthcare professionals. Cancer continues to pose a significant global health challenge, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of its epidemiology to effectively address its burden. Cancer epidemiology plays a vital role in providing insights into the distribution, determinants, and prevention of cancer, thus guiding public health interventions. This research article aims to explore the significance of cancer epidemiology in public health, elucidating its role in shaping cancer prevention, control, and policy decisions. By examining the current knowledge on cancer epidemiology, this article emphasizes the importance of integrating epidemiological research into public health strategies to mitigate the impact of cancer on populations worldwide.
