Abstract

Biosensors are nowadays are of great use in the biological fields which is an analytical tool to detect the molecule of our interest. In this paper, biosensor is used to detect the level of pollutants, nitrogen, phosphorous, dissolved oxygen and toxic compounds in a particular habitat with the help of biosensor which is used for the bioremediation of these unwanted compounds. For this, a promoter selected from a genetic operon acts as a biosensor to detect the target molecule and helps to generate the signal. Some reporter systems are also used. This is of great use in the bioremediation process and further research can be made so that the biological recognition element can be brought into close proximity to the target molecules for the integration with the signal analysis systems.
