Abstract
Aquaculture, the farming of aquatic organisms such as fish, mollusks, crustaceans, and aquatic plants, has become a vital component of global food production. With the growing demand for seafood and the overexploitation of wild fish stocks, sustainable aquaculture practices are essential for feeding the future. This article explores the advancements in aquaculture technologies and practices that promote sustainability, focusing on resource efficiency, environmental impact mitigation, and the integration of innovative systems. Through case studies and recent research, we highlight the benefits and challenges of sustainable aquaculture, examining how it can meet the nutritional needs of a growing population while preserving aquatic ecosystems.
