Abstract

Antiviral drug resistance is a critical challenge in the management of chronic viral infections, including hepatitis B, HIV, and influenza. This case report highlights the occurrence of antiviral drug resistance in a patient with chronic hepatitis B undergoing long-term therapy with nucleoside analogs. Despite initial virological suppression, the patient exhibited viral breakthrough, prompting the identification of drug-resistant mutations. This report emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring and the potential need for therapeutic adjustments in the management of antiviralresistant infections
