Abstract

A spinal cord injury (SCI) is a frequent, costly, and serious accident that alters life. Because it affects numerous body systems, a spinal cord injury (SCI) results in paraplegia or quadriplegia in the clinical picture (sensory, motor, autonomic, nervous system). SCI has an impact on the cardiovascular, integumentary, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal systems in addition to the musculoskeletal system. SCI has equally detrimental psychosocial and physical impacts. The advice, physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques, and explanation of what must be done to not only enjoy life to the fullest but also to maintain a healthy lifestyle for as long as feasible are all included in this paper. It also draws attention to problems with ageing brought on by SCI and alterations that take place in numerous body systems.
