Abstract

Ovarian cancer remains one of the most challenging malignancies in women, characterized by late-stage diagnosis and poor prognosis. Despite advances in screening, diagnostic techniques, and therapeutic interventions, the survival rates for ovarian cancer have only marginally improved in recent years. This article reviews the current strategies for the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer, focusing on the latest molecular and genetic research that has led to more personalized therapies. The role of early detection, surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy in the management of ovarian cancer is discussed. The article also explores the potential of emerging therapies, including gene therapy and liquid biopsy, and highlights future research directions that may offer hope for improved patient outcomes.
