Abstract
Clinical cardiac electrophysiology (CCEP) is a subspecialty of cardiology that focuses on the diagnosis andn treatment of heart rhythm disorders, also known as cardiac arrhythmias. CCEP involves the use of advanced diagnostic techniques to evaluate the electrical activity of the heart and to determine the cause of arrhythmias.Electrophysiologists who are specialists in CCEP, use a variety of techniques to diagnose and treat arrhythmias, including electrophysiology studies, cardiac mapping, and ablation therapy. During an electrophysiology study, electrodes are inserted into the heart to measure its electrical activity and identify any abnormalities.
