Abstract

Respiratory therapy is a cornerstone in the management of various pulmonary disorders, ranging from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). This review examines recent advancements and innovations within the field, highlighting significant technological breakthroughs, novel therapeutic modalities, and the integration of multidisciplinary approaches. Key areas of focus include advancements in non-invasive ventilation techniques, the rise of telemedicine for remote patient management, and innovations in aerosol delivery systems that enhance drug efficacy. Additionally, the review explores emerging therapies such as stem cell and gene therapy, which hold promise for treating chronic and genetic lung diseases. The integration of patient-centered and multidisciplinary care models is discussed, emphasizing their role in improving patient outcomes. Despite these advancements, challenges such as healthcare disparities and the need for continuous education remain.
